The old and outdated feature list (https://dumux.org/doxygen/2.12/a06492.html) is going to be replace by a new one which will be put into the new examples folder in dumux. Here we can collect ideas on what features we would like to have on the list. For some we may already have examples in the test folders, for others we need to create new examples or extend examples to include them.

Since the examples have been moved to the course, an issue has been opened there. Nevertheless, it would be nice to have a feature list also for the Dumux tests.
We actually had planned examples for dumux (non-interactive documented code examples, see !1547 (merged)), and tutorials for dumux-course (interactive), I don't know where to put the feature list because it's probably better to have only one.
So we want to have one list containing features and examples? At first thought it seems a bit weird.
What if we have just a feature list but maybe add in brackets behind the features in which examples it can be seen how to use them?
For example, apart from simply showing how to set up a free-flow or 2p simulation, the freeflow channel example shows how to use FluxOverSurface and the 2pinfiltration example shows grid adaptivity.
In the examples we could add a short bullet point list or so at the beginning, stating a few things that are shown. Something like.
I would still vote for a list or database where I can sort and search according to examples, features and possibly other things. If they contain links to click on and are updated (semi)-automatically, it would be the best ;-)
I know this is probably too much work, but clicking through all the examples to see what feature they use seems a lot of work that users probably do not want to do. I like the idea of stating what features are used in the beginning or end again, but not as the only source.
To me this would then look like:
Feature
Part of example
Part of test (?)
grid adaptivity
example XY
test XY, YZ, ZA
Flux over surface
example AB
test BC, DC
Tests do not need to be in there, or can be included as an "incomplete" and not well explained collection.
I wasn't paying attention to the overview .md file where the bullet points are shown. This is actually exactly what I meant :). I think it's nice! I will go through the examples and see if points can be added to to the bullet point lists.
